Among our New Year’s resolutions for 2016 would be to figure out ways to integrate more crops in our property. We love the feeling of calmness and purpose our crops bring into our house and we just wished to enhance our jungalow.

I came across Artisan Wall Mount hanging vases while surfing the Pottery Barn site and really enjoyed the concept (not the cost $69-$119). We could not withstand the dollar section in Michaels and somehow* finished up with 4 cute glass test tubes $1.50 per piece.

A couple of visits to the garage after and we had the ideal layout for a hanging vase we’d envisioned in our thoughts. The final product includes 4 dangling glass tubes which, while certainly more compact than the Pottery Barn Wall-Mount Vase, are a lot more economical ($15 compared to 69 ) and equally as magnificent visually. If you’re trying to find a budget-friendly method to integrate more foliage without burning off your distance with containers, this is the best answer for you!

Note: We didn’t record the measurements of the tubes or the tube straps since that will depend completely on which you find and opt to use. In case you have your tubes only take them to Home Depot and you’ll have the ability to discover the straps which match them quite readily.

Additionally, you aren’t confined to scrap wood to the foundation; we only wanted to use that which we have. If you’re searching for something less pastoral, Michaels has a great deal of fine wood bits which could get the job done. Overall, if you play your cards correctly, this DIY is quite affordable and really easy to gather.

Directions. Ensure your foundation is thick enough to resist the period of these screws. If you’re selecting to hang them on the walls the old style way, go on and nail the hanger into the back of the foundation.

Once full, drill the tubing straps halfway to the foundation so the straps are loose enough to correct. Slip your tube throughout the tube strap until it’s set the way you like (we aligned our tubes so the tube strap has been the halfway mark).

As soon as you’re delighted with the positioning of the tube, then tighten the screws before the tube is protected (do so gently in order to not crack the tube). Mount your finished vase into the wall and then decorate with either artificial or real flowers, grasses, or plants. Now kick back and revel in the small parts of character bringing your area.
